As close as we'll get...

Beth and Me acting like fools out back. I will say it did bring a HUGE smile to my face bacause snow makes you happy! it made me think of knoxville a little! Not as much snow as meg and walker got at their house!!!
i am never quite sure why i say take a picture of me, because you always end up looking like an idiot with no friends! And uncomfortable to be in a picture by yourself!

Some of the girls from work and i decided to run outside and take pics so we wouldn't miss our only hope for what we in the delta call a "white out!" From left to right Lena, Beth and Janice. And i am so smart that i locked us out of the door we went out of and we had to run like crazy around to the front!

Just wanted to say...

Hey everyone, i just wanted to say hi and tell ya thanks for checking out our pictures. Allie Harris is almost 6 months old and growing up too fast! We were already blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and now have an incredible child, too. We miss everyone that doesn't live near and we hope to see you sooner than later! Especially my parents and my sweet Ashleigh and Ryan Barnes in Madison...Miss you and we need to talk more but atleast we have each others blogs!!! Nothing much going on in Clarksdale. Graydon is going on a great golf trip with his dad and Wayne in Palm Springs, California. It is supposed to be gorgeous and he is so excited about getting to go. My mom is going to come and stay with Allie Harris and me so we can play and visit! Love you all and keep us updated on what is going on with all of your lives! Go big orange, beat Vandy tonight PLEASE!!!!!

Go Big Orange! (#1 now!)

The end of the game, i look a little worn out i must say! All the yelling must cause you to look like death! Who cares, Go Vols! And i know i didn't go to school there, but you can't grow up in knoxville and not somewhat want to cheer for the vols no matter where you end up!
My friend Amy and me at Pat O's after the game celebrating! I look for lack of better words, "rough!" It was about time for me to go home!!! We got to hang out with Amy and her fiance Scott before and after the game and we had a great time. Great to see them at such a fun occasion!
A little view before the start of the game. There was so much blue it was scary...
The Grand View of the FedEx Forum. I have to say it is soooo nice, too bad their team lost!!! I was screaming the whole game and I am almost positive Graydon didn't want to claim me at some points!
The big tip off! The beginning of the end for Memphis. Sorry, but you are not number 1 anymore! But Tennessee still has a hard schedule, we play Vandy this wednesday! Can't get a break!
I got tickets to the game for Graydon's valentine present. We were going to sell them, but then went to the game and we are so glad we did! When we were walking in he even said, i'm glad we ended up coming! We got to see a great match up and have a night without the baby. She stayed with her LaLa and Grandpa in Clarksdale and they said she did great. I am so glad that she will stay the night with them and not get to out of whack! Makes our lives a lot easier! Thank you Harry and Lassie!

I want to eat my feet

Okay so she looks kind of half awake in this pic, but she has discovered her new favorite toy-her fat little feet! They are too cute! She finally realized she could play with them after we went to get her pictures done at Allison Rodgers Photography in Olive Branch. By the way, Allison is hands down the best photographer i have laid eyes on. Check out the link up top to see her fabulous work. Allie Harris loved taking pics and when we get some I'll be sure to show them off to everyone!

That silly Dog

Caught ya...Allie Harris loves to look at the dogs everywhere they go. She will almost brake her neck trying to find them on the ground when you are holding her or feeding her! Opie and Ajax are our "first born" children! They are King charles spaniels and spoiled! I was a little worried about Opie, but they are great with her. They let her gently pet them and they love on her. Then i immediately clean her hands and face off with wet ones wipes!!!
The great stare off! They sit and look at each other wondering what in the heck the other one is! Ajax and Opie have been so good with her, i have to say i am pleasantly suprised!

Hanging Around

Hello everyone, i hope you are as happy as I am!!! My dad gave me this Peabody Shirt when he went for a meeting the other week. Thank you dad!
In her exersaucer amazed by everything around her. She has become so perceptive and aware of anything that moves around her, especially the dogs and any birds outside...
Here in her bouncer happy as can be after she spit up. Must feel better!
Sporting her new Zutano Outfit her DeDe bought for her in Knoxville! She looks so cute!

Meeting Coach Nutt

Last night we had our annual North Delta Alumni Association meeting at Ground Zero Blues Club. This year was exciting because even though our team may suck, we are happy to have a new coach who has a proven track record in the SEC. We had about 160 people there with live music, great fried food and all the coaching staff. My favorite thing about him? He is realistic. He said, we are not going to win the national championship next year, we are not going to win the SEC championship next year, BUT we are going to win some SEC games and try to get us back in a bowl game. You have to give us time to work with these kids and make this program grow. I think it is a good theory considering we didn't win one SEC game! Hotty Toddy!
I basically stalked him until no one else was around then grabbed him to get a picture. He was really nice and i think he had a good time...

Happy Wednesday Everyone

Oh, being a baby is tough. My mom keeps making me roll over and I would rather just sit here and look at the birds by the window...Don't you love her morning hair?
Sitting up is hard work! This is after she tumbled over and so she didn't get scared we started being silly and laughing. In turn she started laughing thinking she had done something funny! She looked at me like, "what is so funny?"

Sitting Around...

Sweet baby girl! She is growing up so much! She is sitting up pretty well on her own now! Every now and then she will tumble over and we just giggle. She leans forward with her belly sitting on her legs, too cute. Eventually she will get her back muscles all straight and be able to sit up more! I swear she is posing in this picture...
Mommy is this right? Am I doing okay?

Staring at Opie and sticking her tongue out at him. Lately she has been so into what the dogs are doing and watching every move they make...
I'm doing it, look at me!!! She just kinda sits and looks around at what is going on in the room, then when she gets tired she'll lean one way and roll over!

Me and Mommy

So i was trying to get Allie Harris to take a good picture with me but she is so into her daddy that the whole time she just stared at him wondering what he was doing! This is as good as it got! Pardon my gross face, it was a long day at work!
Quack! Quack! Allie Harris is laughing at Graydon because he was trying to make her laugh so he was doing a duck call behind the camera. As you can see she thought he was funny!

Mommy why are you on the chair taking a picture of me? You are making me uncomfortable and confused!

Good Morning

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone and have a good morning!!!!

Momma don't eat my food!

I absolutely love allie harris in her high chair because she is on my level and we can play without getting fussy. Here i am pretending to eat her food and she just laughs! Then i would give her the spoon back without anything even on it but she wanted it just because i had it! So silly...

Eatin' my carrots...

Hey, what you talking about Willis??? Doesn't she look like she is trying to show her mean face? Then two seconds later she started laughing out loud! I see her everyday and know her eyes are blue, but you don't realize how incredible they are until you take a picture and they look like this. They make me melt...
Ahh, gotcha! I'm just kidding with ya! I am so silly...

Okay, now give me some more carrots...

My favorite babysitter

On Sunday after church I went to teach cheerleading lessons and Allie Harris and Graydon got to have play time! She loves flirting with him, it is soooo funny! She looks at him, then turns shyly away and then smiles at him and laughs...She sooo knows what she is doing too!
Hanging out with her Dad watching some basketball...

Curl girl

This is after her bath and we found if we don't brush her hair down she has some curl like graydon when he was little. It is so cute, but kinda messy at the same time! How about the long string of drool running down Graydon's hand!!!
She has so much hair all over her head except for one little ring around the back where she rubs her head when she sleeps! she looks like a WILD CHILD...

Waiting for Plane...

Playing in my cousin Murphy's room with DeDe and Mommy!
This one was taken by my sister in law after our second flight was messed up. We ended up going over to there house to play with Murphyman and she wanted to live in his exersaucer! His is that baby einstein one and has so many more things to do than hers at home! I am sure she was like, i have been getting jipped at home on my exersaucer!!! I love her sticking her tongue out, i am sure it is at Northwest Airlines too!

Ready for the Slopes

This week Graydon has been skiing in Aspen, Colorado with some buddies and we miss him sooooo much! Last week Allie Harris started crying when he would leave the room! She is already such a daddy's girl. How cute! To keep him up to date and so he won't be sad, we send him pics of Allie Harris each day. Here are my favorite ones. She is all dressed up in her funky outfit and fluffy hat ready to hit the slopes and shop til we drop in Aspen! All you have to say is Dada and she grins from ear to ear! Hope you enjoy!

Ready for Aspen!

Wait a minute, your telling me I have to go outside in the freezing cold? I love this bright outfit and her big ole hat. She misses her dad who is skiing right now, so we sent him some pics showing him that she is soooo ready for the slopes when she gets old enough! I know i am a little biased but i think she looks so flipping cute i could just eat those big cheeks up!
Okay, I am ready for the slopes of Aspen! Do you think my outfit is posh enough? I am trying to make a statement! Can't wait to learn to ski very soon!

My First Spoon Feeding!!!

Okay, so i know i look goofy but you will do anything to make things seem fun! The first few times she kept turning her head away but eventually she got it down.
She caught on quick (imagine that!). If it has to do with food she is so on top of it! My silly hand is blocking her mouth but she got most of it in, kinda!

Here is our video from allie harris's first spoon feeding. We got the tail end so it is pretty funny because she gets upset when i take it away from her! She did so well and we can't wait to try it again. Maybe in the next few weeks we'll try squash or something like that... She is growing up too fast, but i do love that she recognizes us and laughs at us all the time. Enjoy!

Hanging Out

Watching football saturday with her Dibs. Even though the colts lost, we were all excited that our Giants won the next day! She loves to watch football...
My dad is soooo funny! Allie Harris is so in love with Graydon, he walks in a room and she smiles and follows him around. Uh oh, sounds like i am going to get pushed to the side! Now i know how my mom felt when I would be like, "Daddy..." And I would always get my way! Payback should be great!

Amazed by my jumperoo...

The Christening Weekend

This weekend our little Allie Harris Flowers received the Sacrament of Baptism at First United Methodist Church in Clarksdale. I think she knew she was queen of the day, because she was so excited and happy all morning. Not to mention how perfect she was during the whole ceremony and afterwards at the party for her. People asked us if we slipped something to her before we got to the church! Really it is that she is just laid back like her dad! It was such a happy emotional experience for us. I was so nervous and holding back tears, then her nanny Aubrey sang a christian lullaby and i lost it. Tears were everywhere! It was beautiful. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who put Allie Harris in their thoughts and prayers this weekend during her special time. We are so fortunate to have family and friends surrounding us everywhere! Love you all and Sorry there are not many pics, we got so caught up in the day we almost didn't get these!

The Christening

Here with mom and dad about to fall asleep after showing out for everyone. Her dress is an heirloom handmade dress and bonnett by Mela Wilson. She did an incredible job! It is made of swedish batiste and antique french lace. The bonnett made me laugh because it is supposed to be fitted but Dibs and DeDe kinda thought she looked like an Amish baby...I can see that.
I am so upset this picture cuts off her gorgeous long handmade gown! We got so busy we didn't get a lot of pictures! She is soooooo tired here, she was such a trooper though. Of course she did great, didn't cry at all and just looked around the church the whole time! Then at the after party she was just as good, just sleepier...But made it through the whole thing fine, and without getting a single thing on her dress! Amazing!

Here with Callie, one of Allie Harris's Godparents. All four, Gene, Bradley, Amelia and Callie were able to make it! We were so excited! We were about to chow down on shrimp and grits at my in-laws house at the party honoring Allie Harris. We had such a great time and are so touched by all those who could attend. Thank you for everything!

Doctors Visit

Allie Harris went to her 4 month check up on wednesday (even though she is 19 weeks old) and she did great. She is healthy as an ox, which we already knew, but were glad to hear it anyway! She is 27, yes you read right, 27 inches long! Takes after her dad in that department... And she weighs 15 pounds even. I think her cheeks are half of her weight! She had to get four shots and cried for a bit, but not for too long and then she started smiling again. I laughed so hard because she is OFF the charts on her height! Her christening is this weekend, so we will post new pics of that as soon as we get them. Have a wonderful day!

Ready for the Cold

So it has finally gotten cold enough (19 degrees!) to wear our precious Ski hat that LaLa and Harry got made on their trip to the Baltic Area in Europe this past summer. She was sporting her hat and staring at the huge fire in the fire place. She kept leaning towards it when i was holding her, that is not a good sign! She likes fire, great that is really safe!

My hilarious nephew!

This is without a doubt my favorite picture of my nephew Murphy! How great is that face!

Two very tired people!

We had such a wonderful time in knoxville, but were pretty worn out after all of our gift opening! This was right before bed christmas night, dreading the ride home of almost 8 hours!
